In October, London-based auctioneer Bonhams will auction a limited edition Omega Seamaster wristwatch owned by the late Roger Moore.

Omega’s Seamaster James Bond 50th Anniversary is a limited edition watch that was released in 2012 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise. It’s based on the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, which has been worn by Bond actors since 1995.

This circa 2012 Seamaster James Bond 50th Anniversary (Ref. 212.30.41.20.01.005) features a 41 mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating dive bezel, helium escape valve, a depth rating of 300 meters, and is a limited-numbered edition.

The black dial is emblazoned with a repeating diagonal 007 motif and has applied indices, skeletonized hour and minute hands, and a lollipop center seconds hand with a red tip. Flip the watch over and the screw-in caseback is decorated with the signature James Bond gun-barrel design.

Driving the hours, minutes, center seconds, and date is a 27-jewel automatic Omega caliber 2507 is a certified chronometer and has a 48-hour power reserve and a Bond-themed bullet decoration on the rotor.

Although Roger Moore, who played 007 in seven films from 1973 to 1985, never wore the watch in question during movies, he did reportedly wear this watch in real life. And most notably, the underside of the bracelet clasp is engraved with a personalized message: “To Roger, Love From Michael and Barbara.”

In addition to the inscription that asserts this watch’s provenance, it comes with the original box, card, and operating instructions booklet. Moore’s watch is numbered 3113 out of 11007 total pieces made.

The auction will take place in London on October 4, 2023, and will include Bond memorabilia and rare collectibles that were owned by Sir Roger.
