Earlier this year, TAG Heuer updated their three-hand Aquaracer line, and now they’ve followed up with a new GMT model.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT comes in a stainless steel case that measures 43 mm in diameter, and that’s aesthetically similar to the Aquaracer GMT they launched in 2020, however, many elements have been enhanced.

In addition to sculpting a smoother case — without losing the original look — everything from the hands to the indices to the font to the date window has been refined. The colors have also been changed. While the 2020 Aquaracer GMT came with a blue dial with a horizontal motif, that has been carried over to the 2022 model, the design team changed the 24-hour GMT hand from blue to yellow. And instead of using the popular black and blue “Batman” style ceramic bezel insert, that Rolex made famous, TAG Heuer chose to be different and went with a white and blue ceramic insert, which is a respectable decision that gives this collection its own personality.

Inside, there’s an outsourced Swiss made 4Hz automatic GMT movement, with a slightly larger power reserve of 50 hours, and that notably allowed the date window to be moved from 3 to 6 o’clock, similar to the three-hand Aquaracers. The crown screws down to the solid case and the caseback features a diver’s helmet embossed in the center.

Whether you prefer a rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet, you get TAG Heuer’s latest deployant clasp, with an innovative toolless sliding micro-adjustment system.

If you purchase directly from TAG Heuer’s website, they include a nice black leather travel case with your purchase. Retail is $3,500 on a rubber strap (Ref. WBP2010.FT6198) or $3,800 on a stainless steel bracelet (Ref. WBP2010.BA0632).
