Earlier this month, in partnership with Disney and Marvel, watchmaker RJ Watches (formerly named “Romain Jerome”) debuted the new Arraw Spider-Man Tourbillon, at Watches of Switzerland in SoHo.

There are two variations, limited to 10 pieces each. One is housed in a 45 mm diameter black carbon and red fiberglass composite case, and the second is made entirely in black carbon.

According to the brand, the watch features RJ’s first in-house movement, the caliber RJ-7000. “The ARRAW Spider-Man Tourbillon features a fully coaxial construction, with a peripheral display of the hours and the minutes. This central tourbillon has been engineered by RJ Studio to increase the power reserve to 150 hours (more than six days).”

In addition, today, fittingly, Richard Mille announced the RM 52-06 Tourbillon Mask. Presented in a 49.94 mm X 42 mm X 16.15 mm tonneau-shaped case, the Tourbillon Mask comes in four 18 piece editions, each with a different case material (Carbon TPT®, all Quartz TPT®, blue and white Quartz TPT®, red and white Quartz TPT®).

According to Richard Mille, the mask is “Made of PVD treated grade 5 titanium or white gold, the mask is fully integrated within the movement. The precise opposite of a purely decorative element, it is, on the contrary, an integral component, serving as a wheel train and tourbillon bridge. The back of the mask, as ever treated with the greatest attention, acts as the center bridge. Its micro-blasted surfaces are accentuated by polished anglage that further emphasizes the protruding edges of the mask.”
