Some companies seek awards to gain marketing exposure, while others get their name out there through charity endeavors. FP Journe has clearly chosen the latter.

Last month, renowned Genevan watchmaker, FP Journe, donated a Journe Chronomètre Optimum piece unique to the Ball in Monaco charity event in Singapore, with the funds going to support the protection of the Ocean.

The 40 mm x 9.5 mm platinum case, features a two-tone burgundy and gray colored dial with ruthenium-plating, and guilloche work in the center of the primary dial, blued hands, and Chinese numbers.

In addition to the precious metal case 950 platinum case, the manually wound 3Hz caliber 1510 movement, which has a 70-hour power reserve, is crafted from 18K rose gold.

At 11 o’clock on the dial side, you can see the wheel of the Remontoir d’égalité. On the back, is a full view of the 18K rose gold movement, as well as the display of the natural deadbeat second mechanism. The caliber 1510 also benefits from two barrels and a High-Performance Bi-axial Escapement (EBHP), a patented F.P.Journe invention.

This model has the serial number 508-CO as well as a bespoke engraving on the movement, “S.A.S Albert II 2022 Singapore.”

The FP Journe Chronomètre Optimum unique piece sold for approximately $1,076,000.
