Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches has announced that after 14 years as CEO, Daniël Reintjes has transferred the position to Pim Koeslag.

The company specializes entirely in the design and production of exclusive, handmade astronomical watches. Notably, Christiaan van der Klaauw has entered into a partnership with jewelry maker Van Cleef & Arpels.

Daniël Reintjes will retain his position as Creative Director and will continue to work on the design and development of Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches, alongside Pim Koeslag. Reintjes is a co-shareholder and forms the managing board with Pim Koeslag and Maria Reintjes.

Pim Koeslag, who already took a majority stake in Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches last year, has 20 years of experience in the international watch industry (formerly lead technical development at Frederique Constant/Alpina/Ateliers deMonaco), will take over the role of CEO and brings immense knowledge in watchmaking to the company, including the ability to create in-house watch calibers.
