Baselworld was the world’s largest wristwatch and jewelry trade show which took place every Spring in Basel, Switzerland, from 1917 To 2019. After growing to an attendance estimated in the 100,000 range, and with over 1,000+ exhibitors at its peak, in the final years attendance waned and exhibitors began to leave due to high cost, lack of evolution of the show, and new more efficient means of communicating releases to the public, such as social media and the internet.
